This short video tells what is like to live with dementia, and the impact that the condition can have on family and professional life. It outlines what each of us can do to help people living with dementia. It also emphasizes the role that country leaders can play in improving the lives of people living with dementia today, and in working towards a cure. Over 47 million people live with dementia worldwide. This figure is expected to almost triple by 2050.
On 16-17 March 2015, WHO is bringing together ministers of health and experts from the research, clinical and nongovernmental communities to discuss the global problems posed by dementia.
